SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES
Entries may be submitted by:
1) Any person within the Suncoast Area who is directly responsible for the production
of the entry or for the individual craft achievement. Executive producers will only
be eligible for an award if directly involved in the execution of the product. No
student entries are eligible for an EMMY® award.
2) Submission of an entry constitutes an agreement that any promotion or advertising
incorporating any award that may be received shall be subject to the Rules and Regulations
of The National Television Academy and subject to the approval of the Board of Governors
of the Suncoast Chapter prior to such use. The word “best” may not be used in the
promotion of an Emmy Award.
3) Signature of the entry form constitutes permission for the Suncoast Chapter of
the National Television Academy to telecast or screen the entry, or portions of
the entry, as part of the EMMYR Awards program and to webcast the entry, or portions
of the entry, on the Chapter website www.suncoastchapter.org.
4) Organizations submitting more than one entry must complete and include a master
list in addition to the individual entry forms.
5) The Suncoast Chapter will not be responsible for lost , damaged or non-playing
entries .
6) All entries become property of the Suncoast Chapter.
7) LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entries, entry forms and checks/credit card
payments must be received no later than 5 pm on Friday, July 6, 2007. NO ENTRIES
WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 5 PM.

JUDGING PROCEDURE
Entries will be judged by the following rules:
1) All entries in a particular category will be judged by the same panel of peer
judges.
2) In each category, unless otherwise specified, there may be one award, more than
one award, or no award. Entries will be judged on their own merit and not in competition
with other entries.
3) Judging panels will be made up of at least six persons, no more than four working
for the same company, who are qualified to judge the categories, based on their
professional experience.
4) All entries will be sent to one or more National Television Academy Chapters
for judging. AT NO TIME WILL SUNCOAST ENTRIES BE JUDGED BY THE SUNCOAST CHAPTER.
5) Programming entries will be judged for content, creativity, and execution. Crafts
Achievement entries will be judged for creativity and execution. All entries will
be judged against a standard of excellence and will not compete with each other.
CERTIFICATES
1) Nomination Certificates
will be awarded to all nominees following verification by the Judging Committee.
2) Production Certificates and/or plaques may be purchased by individuals or producers
for distribution to individuals who can provide documentation of participation in
the producing of a winning entry. Contact the Suncoast Chapter office following
the EMMY® Awards presentation for more information.

Categories 1 –33, 46 – 57
$130.00 per name, for entries paid by a company
Categories 35 – 45, 58 – 62
$ 60.00 for each member of the Suncoast Chapter
$130.00 for each non-member
For entries not paid by a company
$105.00 per member of the Suncoast Chapter
$175.00 per non-member
An entry fee must be paid
for each person listed on an entry form.
Category 34 Team Effort
News Event Coverage – $375
Entry fee must be paid by the company
1) If more than one
person is listed on the entry form as producer of a program or spot announcement
entry, or if more than one person is jointly credited on a craft entry, a separate
entry fee is required for each person listed.
2) Failure to pay correct entry fees in full will result in disqualification
of entry.
3) No refunds in the case of disqualification or overpayment.
4) Credit Card payments accepted.
5) If payment is sent for multiple entries and/or multiple entrants, an itemized
list must be included that shows the fee paid for each entry and/or entrant.
6) If a company check is accompanied with individual checks, an itemized
list must be included that matches the checks with the appropriate entry.
ENTRY
RULES
1) Sub-categories must be identified on the entry form, particularly Craft
entries, i. e. 36A Anchor News.
2) Original Air Date & Entry Time must be filled in.
3) Entry Time (TRT) should be filled out in hours-minutes-seconds, i.e. 00-00-00
4) If the person submitting the entry also is an entrant, his or her name
must be written in the space designated for entrants.
5) Two copies of the fully completed entry forms should accompany the entry.
6) Broadcast/Cablecast entries must be submitted on DVD-R. (DVD minus R)
Advanced Media entries must be submitted on CD-R. (CD minus R)
7) Each DVD or CD must contain one entry from only one category.
8) The following format must be used on all entries submitted: :10 black
The entry in its entirety :05 black :20 excerpt of entry or promo of entry for possible
use in Emmy® Awards program or any transmission or recording of the Emmy® Awards
program. (Spot Announcements are excluded from this requirement)
9) Each entry must have fully completed entry forms and labels. Forms and
labels may be downloaded from the chapter website: http://www.suncoastchapter.org.
A box label must be included with your entry. The Suncoast Chapter recommends using
a clear sleeve or slim line CD case for your entry. The label must be visible without
opening the case.
10) Do not apply printed (paper) labels to your DVD or CD. Ink Jet or laser
printing that can be applied directly to the DVD or CD face (Printable media) are
acceptable, or use a permanent marker to legibly PRINT the following information
directly on the DVD:
- Name of entry
- Category number and
name
- Running time
- Note whether entry is
Spanish or English
11) Entrants may
attach a written rationale (not to exceed 100 words) stating the reasons the entry
should be judged award-worthy.
12) CHECK YOUR ENTRY! DVDs and CDs must be finalized. Check your DVD on a
different DVD player than the one used to burn the DVD. Check your CD on a different
computer than the one used to burn the CD. DVDs and CDs that are not readable will
not be judged and will not be refunded.
A $25 re-processing fee
will be charged for each entry submitted with incomplete forms or labels.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES
Entries must be received with appropriate entry forms, labels and entry fees no
later than 5 pm, July 6, 2007. Entries must be delivered to:

ADDITIONAL
ENTRANTS
Additional names may be added to an entry after July 6, 2007 until 14 days
after the announcement of nominees for a fee of $250.00 for each name. All awards
will be presented at the Suncoast Chapter’s 31st Annual Suncoast Regional EMMY®
Awards Ceremony on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention
Center, 6000 West Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, Florida.
